Inspirational speaker Chris Moon will address Sussex business leaders at the annual conference of Sussex Enterprise next month.
The former army officer lost his right arm and leg when he was blown up by a landmine in Mozambique but refused to allow the disability to narrow his horizons.
Less than a year after leaving hospital, he completed the London marathon and subsequently many of the toughest marathons in the world to support charities assisting the disabled.
More than 700 business leaders are expected to attend the conference, the largest business event in the South-East, at the Congress Theatre, Eastbourne on March 21.
The conference is based on the theme Sussex Means Business.
Chief executive Ken Caldwell said: "Chris has many years experience inspiring business audiences around the world to achieve their goals both personally and in business.
"He will talk about the parallels he has experienced managing and training a team of bomb disposal experts in Cambodia and running his own consultancy company in the UK.
"He will draw on his business experience as well as anecdotes from his extraordinary life, which includes surviving kidnapping by the Khmer Rouge and the partial loss of an arm and a leg.
"Anyone listening to Chris cannot fail to be moved, motivated and entertained."
Karen Silk, founder and chief executive of Capital International HR Solutions in Burgess Hill will also present a keynote speech. Her company specialises in placing skilled IT staff with companies across Europe.
She will tell how she developed the business to become one of the top 50 fastest-growing private companies in the country and demonstrate how creating a family-friendly workplace and developing a strong customer service focus has helped.
Host for the day will be TV presenter Fred Dinenage, who will chair a question time style session between the panel of speakers and delegates.
Mr Caldwell said: "The conference offers a huge range of information to help any business become more successful.
"There will be opportunities for delegates to talk to our advisors and view an exhibition of key local businesses."
