So Councillor Paul Cosham thinks putting pinch-points in the roads is dangerous because people cannot see them. If they cannot see the give-way lines and road signs, they shouldn't be on the road in the first place.
Clearly Coun Cosham has never tried to negotiate Arundel Road in the rush-hour. It was, until the traffic calming was introduced, an accident waiting to happen. Something had to be done to allow children going to the many schools in the area a safe route to school.
The local authority should be applauded and not criticised by a selfish minority who have forgotten what their legs are for and begrudge a few seconds extra on their journey in their cars.
I don't know which road humps Coun Cosham has seen but all those in Peacehaven and Telscombe Cliffs I see do not go right across the road and are are easily avoided by cyclists.
this area without thinking through the consequences of a lack of infrastructure.
