A former Pontins Blue Coat has been dressing up as bald baddie Dr Evil from the hit film Austin Powers and running into walls.
Mark Beauchamp was auditioning for a place on the forthcoming LWT television show Stars And Their Doubles 2002.
His attempts to impress the judges were filmed but when he ran into a wall the cameraman missed the stunt and he had to do it again.
Mark, 30, from Sheepfold Avenue, Rustington, said: "I had to do an impression of him for two or three minutes so I ran into the wall to mimic the scene in the film where he runs into a time capsule but the door is shut.
"I had to do it twice so they caught it on camera. It didn't hurt - but that might be bravado talking.
"The audition went really well. There weren't any other Dr Evil lookalikes - who'd want to look like him?
"I can do the voice and I have bald head but that's it."
Mark was filmed in front of a panel of judges, mingling with Pamela Anderson, Dawn French and Jim Royle lookalikes.
Mark, who has watched Austin Powers more than 20 times, has been dressing up as Dr Evil for two years.
He has incorporated it into his routine as an entertainer on cruise ships.
He has been in the business since becoming a Blue Coat in Jersey at 17, where he met his partner Amanda Crooks.
They started their own all-singing, all-dancing tour.
Amanda is part of Mark's act, dressing up in a blonde wig and miniskirt to impersonate one of the Fembots from the film.
Mark will hear tomorrow whether he is through to the next stage of televised auditions to win the title of Lookalike of the Year.
The programme will be screened in March.
