I am so upset, as I am sure many other readers are, at the way Lewes District Council has dealt with the removal of headstones at Lewes cemetery.

It is disgusting and totally disrespectful the council did not bother to contact any relatives of the deceased before going ahead with the work.

It has flattened the flowers and bulbs that were placed on my parents' grave and caused considerable upset to all the family in doing so.

The grave is my family's property, not the council's, therefore it has no right to touch or tamper with it without our consent.
