Wick's rebuilding programme is gaining pace.
Former Portfield striker Jamie Musselwhite has teamed up again with Richie Reynolds, who was recently appointed as Wick boss.
Musselwhite, who had a brief spell with Bognor at the beginning of last season, has been out of action for nine months with a broken arm.
Goalkeeper Dan Rapps has also been signed from Lancing. Dan is the brother of Worthing United's Paul Rapps, who was another recent Wick target.
Reynolds was also hoping to tie up the signing of Chichester striker Tony Stephens in time for today's trip to Burgess Hill.
However, there will be no permanent deal for goalkeeper Mark Pannell who played well in Tuesday's 3-1 Sussex Senior Cup defeat at Lewes.
Pannell, a former Portfield keeper, plays for Hampshire League side Hayling United and will not leave them.
Reynolds was delighted with the performance on Tuesday, especially as he had six players aged 16 or under in the squad.
The pick of them was 15-year-old Martyn Hope who made a superb debut in defence.
Reynolds said: "We started with three teenagers, two 16-year-olds and one 15. Then we had three more 16-year-olds on the bench. There was nothing between the sides and Martyn was absolutely outstanding.
"We are not far away now. With Tuesday's performance behind us, it will not be long before we start winning again."
Another side in the middle of a rebuilding programme is Saltdean United and the Tigers are continuing to strengthen.
Goalkeeper Dean Lightwood has completed his loan switch to Hill Park while brothers Sean and Darren Wilson have arrived from Southwick.
Rob Busby, a defender who has played to a decent standard, turned up at training in the week and looks a good prospect.
He has now signed on and another defender back at the club is the highly promising James Fensome. Fensome has not played since former manager Steve Bean was sacked by Saltdean earlier this season.
Ringmer boss Glen Geard is delighted with new signing Simon Jones.
The former Lewes midfielder has joined the Blues from Peacheaven and was due to make his debut against Redhill today.
Geard said: "We have been lacking bite in the midfield. We have a lot of footballers but with the grounds the way they are, being so heavy, Simon will give us that bite we need."
