Four people have been injured in two separate motorcycle crashes near Shoreham.
The first happened at 3.10pm yesterday on the westbound A27 on the approach to Southwick Hill Tunnel.
A Yamaha bike was in collision with a central crash barrier.
The 39-year-old rider, from Southwick, was taken to Worthing Hospital with leg injuries.
His pillion passenger, a 29-year-old man from Portslade, suffered shock.
The second accident happened two hours later on the A283 Steyning Road at Shoreham when a Suzuki bike was in collision with a Ford Transit.
The rider, a 34-year-old man from Surrey, was taken to Worthing Hospital with serious leg injuries.
The van driver, a 35-year-old man from Steyning, suffered shock.
The names of those involved have not been released by Sussex Police, who operate data protection guidelines.
