A man checked into a hotel for a business trip and found £1,000 under his pillow.
Brighton man Peter Roper was the second person to win the top prize in a nationwide promotion run by hotel chain Holiday Inn.
He checked into Holiday Inn in Swansea for a three-day stay on Tuesday.
Mr Roper, who works for Scan Optics, said: "I just couldn't believe it when I plumped up my pillow before I went to bed and discovered £1,000.
"My wife is extremely happy and is already planning how to spend it."
Karen Tierney, general manager at the hotel, said: "It is excellent that someone from our hotel won. Since the promotion started everyone is being nice to Heather Page, our housekeeper."
For the next 12 weeks, a housekeeper will place £1,000 in one Holiday Inn hotel room in the UK every night from Monday to Thursday.
