Lapdancer Lucy Atkins hopes to spend six weeks in the Australian outback in a Survivor-style reality TV show.
As a dancer in Peter Stringfellow's club, Lucy is used to dealing with attention from some creepy creatures of the night.
But Lucy, 22, from Hove, will have to deal with nocturnal disturbances of another kind when she jets out to join survivors deep in the Australian outback on reality game show Eden, presented by Vernon Kay.
Contestants, whose every move is dictated by viewers who play God through the internet, have to handle snakes, kill and cook their own food and cope with giant insects.
Lucy, who by day works in Brighton clothes boutique FU, said: "I hate bugs. I'm going to take earplugs so I don't have to hear them buzzing all night long."
She is on a shortlist of three waiting to find out whether she will be jetting to the bush next week, after being selected from thousands of hopefuls who applied through the web.
Armed with a video camera, Lucy spent a day touring her favourite spots in Brighton to put together a video diary that will be screened next week.
She said: "I can't tell you what's in it, all I can say is that it's very funny. We had a wicked day."
Viewers will vote via a phone and internet poll to decide which of the three hopefuls jets out to spend six weeks living in huts and fighting it out for a £10,000 prize.
After leaving Hove Park School, Lucy worked for an estate agent before landing her lapdancing job.
She said: "I've been watching the show and I just thought it would be something different.
"Through my work I'm pretty much used to dealing with all kinds of people. I just love being entertaining and I'd really liven the place up."
She is planning to give the other competitors a good kicking - choosing to take as a luxury item a hacky sack, which is a small, soft ball.
She said: "If I thought too much about it, I think it would put me off.
"I've got this far and if it happens I'm just going to get out there and go for it.
"But one thing I'm scared about is going to sleep. Normally, I work until 6am, jump on the train back to Brighton and start working at the shop. The thought of sleeping in a hut with all those bugs gives me the shivers."
But Lucy is not going to leave her glamorous lifestyle behind.
She said: "I was going to have some clothes made for the show but it would have been gutting if I didn't get on so I'm just going to pack some summer dresses, a big raincoat and lots of knickers.
"I've got to have everything packed and ready because I'll find out if I'm going at 9pm on Friday and I have to be at the airport by 11am the next day.
"I've never done anything like this before. I've never even been camping. My boyfriend thinks I'm mad."
Eden will be shown on Channel 4 every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 6pm.
