Lewes returned to the top of division two with a disciplined 4-1 victory at home to struggling Romford.
Three goals in the opening half-hour sealed it.
The first came in the 16th minute when Romford goalkeeper Nicky Wilson scuffed his clearance to Lee Newman who netted.
Three minutes later the lead was doubled when an unchallenged Julian Curnow headed home.
Sam Francis hit the third on 25 minutes when he latched on to a long clearance up field and drilled a low shot past the advancing Wilson.
The visitors grabbed a consolation 11 minutes into the second period with a Neil Finnery free-kick.
But Rooks added a fourth nine minutes from time through Curnow.
Horsham extended their unbeaten run top 21 games with a powerful display to defeat leaders East Thurrock United 3-1 at Queen Street.
Jamie Taylor rifled them into the lead after 21 minutes.
Hornets went 2-0 up in the 36th minute when Dave Flemming hooked home the second in the 36th minute.
Thurrock reduced the arrears moments before the interval when Dean Allen headed home.
Horsham secured the game on 70 minutes when Gary Charman netted.
Hornets manager John Maggs said:. "It was a big result. Thurrock came full of confidence and looked strong, but we did the business."
