It seems the anti-Falmer brigade have not been doing their homework.
The ones I have spoken to and those on the phone-in programmes are under the impression the "stadium for all" will be built in Stanmer Park, near the pond and village.
The truth is, the stadium is planned for the other side of the dual carriageway, more than half a mile from Falmer.
With its low, streamlined profile, it will be hidden from view from the village.
One man complained on radio that he liked to park near the pond to feed the ducks and said if the stadium was built he would not be able to park there.
While wanting the right to park there, he wished to deny others the same right.
However, he can rest peacefully because no supporters' cars will be allowed to park there and the one road to the village will be manned by stewards.
By the way, has anybody driven past the university and the water offices lately and seen the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty? It looks more like the local tip.
