A body has been found on a beach four miles from where a woman was seen being swept out to sea two days ago.
The body of a woman was found by a man out walking at 8.15am today at Winchelsea near Rye.
It is four miles east of where a 25-year-old woman was swept away by a rising tide on the beach near Warrior Square, St Leonards, on Tuesday.
Police said it was too early to say whether it was the same woman.
The disappearance of the woman triggered a huge air and sea search by lifeboat and helicopter.
