If Keith Taylor (Letters, February 27) had bothered to read my letter (February 22), he would see I wrote, "in law, a business case is not required in support of planning applications".
He countered that I was "just wrong" because the draft local plan had asked for one to be submitted with the stadium planning application. Firstly, this does not override planning law.
It is a condition of Brighton and Hove City Council. And, secondly, as I stated, the business case does exist and has been submitted and accepted by council officers. Please note this was not denied.
Councillor Taylor also threw a few names at those who back the proposals. Sorry, but those who support the stadium proposals are not on a "corporate Falmer bandwagon".
They are good and honest people from Brighton and Hove, Sussex and beyond who have identified with the need for the stadium and all the sporting and education community benefits.
They also believe Falmer to be the only viable option.
The arrogance of power appears to have tainted the newest local political group. We deserve better.
Don't forget, a majority of us in Coun Taylor's ward didn't only vote for three Green councillors.
There was also an overwhelming referendum vote in favour of a stadium at Falmer. He should remember this when lambasting his voters.
