A jury was today spending a second day considering its verdict in the Billy Carmichael murder case.
Richard Price, 25, of Denmark Terrace, Brighton and Richard Sumner, 35, of Grand Parade, Brighton, both deny murdering Mr Carmichael on November 14, 2000, at his flat in Lower Rock Gardens, Brighton.
During the two-week trial at Lewes Crown Court, both defendants blamed each other for the attack on Mr Carmichael.
The prosecution has alleged Carmichael was beaten to death by the two men after he invited them to stay at his flat.
