A small Sussex brewery headed north for the launch of its latest tipple.
Cheshire's 140-year-old Plumley station, now home to training company JPD Group, was the location for the unveiling of Horsham-based Beer Station's premium bitter Iron Horse.
Station master John Hulme, JPD's chairman and a self-confessed train buff, met Beer Station director Deborah Grant and poured the first glass of Iron Horse.
He said: "It was a pleasure to welcome Deborah and the new ale to Plumley station house.
"It's nice to see another thriving business bringing new life to a former railway station and I'm delighted our station was the venue for the launch of a beer whose name has such railway links."
Deborah said: "The Beer Station's first ale, Pullman, has had unprecedented success across the south and the future of Iron Horse looks equally good.
"We thought this was a good time to make our first foray north.
"When John kindly offered Plumley station house for the launch we immediately made a connection.
"The Beer Station may be a small brewery but Iron Horse is an ale that travels well."
Train buffs and beer lovers from across Cheshire gathered for the launch of the ale and gave the Sussex brew a thumbs up.
The Beer Station's headquarters is in the former Horsham goods yard.
