Having just learned that Councillor Pat Murphy (Wish ward, Hove) wants more travellers' sites to be provided, I became rather alarmed at what this would mean for the people of Hove.
For the only possible place in his ward suitable for a site is Wish Park.
Does this mean people out walking their dogs there will have to crunch their way over needle-strewn grass and whistle for Fido from the tops of giant rubbish-heaps?
Or are the people of Wish just too lazy these days to indulge themselves in such pursuits?
If it is the latter, there is no problem - the park can easily accommodate 100 or more vans and local residents will be able to enjoy their music all night long for free, so adding to the thrill they feel already at being part of this great "city of culture".
