Further to the second public consultation on the Local Waste Plan, I was pleased to see Brighton and Hove City and East Sussex County Councils added in paragraph 2.21, the Precautionary Principle.
This means if there is any scientific doubt whether a process might cause harm to the human population it should be excluded from the plan.
I was therefore appalled to see paragraph 2.29A excludes the Precautionary Principle, so giving the combined councils carte blanche to pollute and poison us as much as they like.
I shall write to the Local Waste Plan consultation to emphatically support paragraph 2.21 and totally reject paragraph 2.29. I invite readers to do the same.
