Final touches are being made to preparations for Portslade's annual community festival, from June 15 to 29.
Among the 50 activities taking place are a fun day on June 15, a Playlink picnic for under tens in Easthill Park on June 18 and a super day involving music and a barbecue at the Emmaus Centre on June 19.
A night walk will be organised on June 19 in search of glow-worms on the hills behind Portslade.
The cricket club will hold coaching sessions for children and adults throughout the festival. There will also be storytelling sessions at Portslade library and the community college.
On June 22, St Peter's Infant School will hold its summer fete, when it will open up its Second World War air raid shelters for people to explore.
A final programme of events will be posted to residents in the next few weeks.
This will be the sixth year the festival has been held.
Penny Gilbey, festival secretary, said: "We have always found we are on the edge of things in Portslade but this festival proves we can organise things ourselves."
