Mezzo-soprano Monica Groop opens this year's series of celebritiy recitals at Glyndebourne with songs by Haydn, Schubert, Sibelius and Grieg.
She made her Covent Garden debut in 1991 in Bernard Haitinck's acclaimed reading of Wagner's Ring Cycle but she is equally at home with Baroque and Early Music.
Accompanying her will be Andras Schiff, a noted soloist in his own right.
He has accompanied Ms Groop on many occasions and is noted for his recitals of the piano concerts of Bach, Beethoven and Mozart.
Tickets £12.50 to £40, 01273 815025.
