A Sussex man was today charged with setting fire to cars belonging to employees of a controversial company which carries out animal testing.
David Blenkinsop, 35, of Horsted Keynes, is accused of conspiracy to commit arson, arson, attempted arson and carrying improvised incendiary devices.
The charges relate to a number of arson attacks near the homes of employees of Huntingdon Life Sciences, which is based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, in August 2000.
Police said unemployed Blenkinsop would appear before magistrates at Oxford on May 2.
The alleged attacks were carried out at properties in the Huntingdon area.
