Further delays have hit the restoration of the landmark Clock Tower in the centre of Brighton.
It has been out of action and covered in scaffolding for almost a year during restoration work.
Earlier this week, Brighton and Hove City Council said it hoped the building would be restored in time for the Queen's Golden Jubilee celebrations on the first weekend in June.
But a part needed to work the rising golden ball on the top has not yet arrived from Germany.
Councillors heard last night it was hoped there would be an official reopening during the jubilee celebrations.
