Although not the biggest fan of Falmer as the location for the new home for the Seagulls, it is probably the only likely venue.
At a time when Brighton and Hove City Council is under increasing pressure to make the big decision - damned if it does (by the Greens), damned if it doesn't (by the blues) - my sympathy is with the people who have to make the decision.
After all, it wasn't the council that evicted the team from the Goldstone in the first place. I recall it was the board of directors that cheerfully walked away with the Albion having no new home to go to.
It seems a bit tough on the council if it is shortly to take the blame for the continuation of the Albion's self-imposed homelessness.
