With all due respect to Johnny of the Male Alliance, he appears to have set himself up to speak for all the gay community.
For your information, Johnny, I and my 15 friends have our weekly visit to Legends every Sunday afternoon to watch the drag acts and, Johnny, if you would care to pop in, you will find standing-room only.
After Legends, if you would care to go to the Queens Arms, again, you will find more drag acts and, again, standing-room only.
So to say drag is unfashionable and out of date is rather misleading and strange.
I ask myself, is there really a woman trying to get out of those jeans of yours and into a frock and perform for all boys and girls at this year's Pride?
Failing that, you will just have to return to your ivory tower.
