We would like to put the record straight with regard to recent correspondence from Ian Hills and Nick Green.
The Brighton and Hove Tenants' Participation Conference was organised by elected tenant representatives with the excellent assistance of Brighton and Hove City Council's communications manager.
Space was limited by the funding available so attendance had, of necessity, to be by invitation only and limited to two tenant or leaseholder representatives from each recognised tenants' or residents' association.
This must have been known to both Mr Hills and Mr Green, who were not invited because neither is a member of such an association.
It can only be presumed, therefore, that they tried to gatecrash the conference in an attempt to gain cheap publicity, as their subsequent actions go to prove.
