Cars old and new are converging on a seaside town this bank holiday weekend.
The 13th Bexhill 100 International Festival of Motoring is being held today, tomorrow and Monday along Bexhill seafront.
The show is one of the largest in the South and was starting today with a static display of classic vehicles in the De La Warr car park.
It was due to be followed by a classic vehicle parade around the town supported by street entertainment.
But the festival proper starts tomorrow from 10am when thousands of people are expected to flood into the town.
With 2002 being the centenary of the first motor race on British soil in Bexhill, organisers are laying on a lavish display of vehicles from the past 100 years.
One of the first Formula 1 cars built, the so-called Easter Egg, will be on show exactly 100 years after it set a world land speed record of 74mph.
Also on display will be hundreds of vintage, veteran, classic, rally, racing, American, kit and custom vehicles.
Russ Swift, one of the world's leading precision drivers, will demonstrate his skills and aerobatic helicopter display pilot Dennis Kenyon will hover above the vast crowds, which tourist bosses in Bexhill say will provide a huge boost to the local economy. Entrance to the festival is free.
