So the poor old plumbers and builders object to paying £3 a day to park when they are working in Brighton and Hove city centre so they make sure no one else can get into the centre to go to work by causing traffic chaos?
So noble are they and keen to protect the interests of their customers, to whom they will be forced to pass on these outrageous costs, they are taking a brave stand against persecution from Brighton and Hove City Council.
Are these the same plumbers that charge a £50 call-out fee and up to £75 an hour for their labour?
Are these the same builders whose sharp intakes of breath immediately before they announce some outrageous price for a simple job have passed into 20th-Century legend?
It strikes me what they need is rather more persecution.
Everyone else has to pay to park in Brighton and Hove. What makes them think they are so special?
