East Grinstead have closed the gap to just three points after beating Sidley by four wickets, Sidley were put in at Saint Hill and tumbled to 128 all out as Alex Edwards took 3-11 and Simon Haynes 3 -36.
Paul Turk then made 42 in a winning score of 129-6 by East Grinstead. Peter King was the pick of the Sidley bowlers with 4 -43.
Littlehampton enjoyed a convincing home win by eight wickets against Bexhill and have moved to fifth.
Bexhill were dismissed for 91 as Daniel Rive took 3-19 and Chris Hanks 3-28.
Steve Kirkham, with 22 not out, and Richard Vokes, who made 31, saw their side home with some comfort at 93-2.
Sussex development officer Steve Peyman was the man in form with the bat as Stirlands had their second win of the season, by four wickets at home to Roffey in a low scoring game.
Roffey were dismissed for 138 as Sean Heather took 5-39, Ivor Lawrence made top score of 49 for the visitors.
Peyman then hit 50 not out to take his side home at 139-6.
The game at Lewes Priory where Preston Nomads were the scheduled visitors was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
