Brighton and Hove's tough new parking regulations have sparked thefts of permits for disabled people.
Thieves are preying on disabled drivers, breaking into their cars and stealing parking badges.
Three vehicles were broken into in Brighton yesterday in Upper Hollingdean Road, Hythe Road and Ashford Road.
Windows were smashed and permits and parking clocks taken.
Inspector Julie Wakeford said: "The thieves are clearly out to avoid parking fees and restrictions."
Anyone with information about the break-ins should contact Brighton and Hove police on 0845 6070999.
