People are being urged to take part in a consultation aimed at regulating some health services.
The newly-formed Health Professions Council is holding a series of meetings across England to establish specific standards for the workers it will be monitoring.
The council is planning to visit Brighton and is calling on health professionals, education experts, employers and the public to have their say.
The council is the new independent UK-wide body responsible for regulating 12 health professions, ranging from paramedics and occupational therapists to physiotherapists.
One key subject for debate is whether professional titles such as physiotherapist or chiropodist should be legally protected to make sure only those who are fully qualified and competent can practice using those titles. Other topics include education and training and disciplinary procedures.
Two meetings will take place at the Thistle Hotel on September 10 at 2pm and 7pm.
