What is it about The Argus and opposition?
The people who saw "the city by the sea" for the hollow carnival it really was and who succeeded in stopping neo-Labour entrench its rule by creating an "elected" mayor are to be praised, not mocked.
I detect an undercurrent of fear about The Argus and its attitude to those opposing the where else campaign.
Could it be that the population has begun to see through the hype? The future should be a sustainable, socially-just Brighton and Hove, not some vague mirage of a shining city by sea.
This can only be achieved by grassroots activism and campaigning and, unless The Argus recognises this rather than simply spouting whatever the council tells it, we will be in no doubt who the real no-hopers are.
