A rock band with a difference will be headlining when this year's UK Air Guitar Championships come to town.
Brighton's wannabe axe stars are being urged to flex their fingertips and don their favourite spandex pants for the event at Concorde 2 in Marina Drive, on Sunday.
Competitors will not need to look far for inspiration.
A tribute band to rock wildmen Kiss will be performing - without any instruments.
The name of the group, whose members come from Brighton, rhymes with that of their heroes, but begins with a P.
Jeff Reed, compere of the event, said: "They don't just have an air guitarist. They have an air drummer and an air bass player too.
"This will be the first time they've played at the UK Air Guitar Championships."
The Brighton event is the first of 18 regional heats, leading up to the UK finals in London on August 18.
Reigning champion Satan Whoppercock, along with rivals Geoff Leopard and Eddy Van Safeway, will be among the air guitarists to beat.
The air guitarist crowned UK Air Axe God 2002 will win a real Fender Stratocaster guitar.
