Commanding up to 250 units in the Galactic Battlegrounds, Clone ampaigns PC-based expansion pack can quickly become pretty complex.

The action picks up at the end of the latest Star Wars epic, Attack Of The Clones, with the beginning of the Clone Wars.

In addition to the Galactic Empire, Rebel Alliance, Royal Naboo, Gungans, Trade Federation and, everyone's favourite, the Wookies, there are the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Galactic Republic.

The Confederacy is led by Count Dooku (Christopher Lee in the film) and Mace Windu (Samuel L Jackson) leads the Galactic Republic and its Clone army.

The quicker you gather resources and invest them in research, weaponry and fighting units, the quicker you devastate your opponent's economy, army and city.

It all sounds straightforward but there is a mind-boggling array of technical advances to keep track of while trying to fend off the enemy and keep key units alive.

The Galactic Battlegrounds adventures look impressive and play well but whether this moves it forward enough to justify buying it separately is another matter.

But the complete package is a whole galaxy of fun.

Price: £19.99 (Clone Campaigns expansion pack), £34.99 (Galactic Battlegrounds).
