A student from Brighton University has been given the opportunity to work at one of the city's best-known design agencies.

She has this chance thanks to a competition organised by the Juicy Awards.

Danielle Raper, a second-year graphic design student, entered the competition, sponsored by the university itself, to design a promotional campaign for this year's Juicy Awards.

The brief included re-designing the Juicy logo and developing promotional material for the Juicy Guide to Brighton and Hove.

Danielle's prize is two weeks'

work experience at Brighton graphic design agency Designate.

Jason Rigby, the company's creative director, will be at The Dome on September 23 to present Danielle with her prize.

She said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for me to get some great work experience and learn from professionals.

"It can be really difficult to get work experience in Brighton and this will hopefully boost my career chances."

The competition was open to second and third-year students of graphic design who were given 24 hours to generate a winning design.

Mr Rigby: "The standard of entry was really high. Danielle fulfilled the brief and kept it simple by reworking the Juicy Guide's orange circle to create a stamp of approval."
