Play equipment bought for disabled children at a special school has been stolen.
The thieves smashed into a shed in the front playground and took two specially-adapted go-karts worth £800 each.
They also broke open a large plastic trunk and took juggling sets and junior football goalposts stored in the building.
The equipment stolen was worth about £1,900, all of it recently bought for Hillside School in Portslade.
It was the latest in a series of thefts and vandal attacks at the school in Foredown Road.
Deputy headteacher Yvonne Mullan said: "We have been subject to vandalism over the years.
"It just seems every time we get something to make the playground nicer for the kids it happens immediately.
"It is disappointing for the people who raise the funds and it is disappointing for the children themselves.
"The children here are severely disabled.
"For the majority, their only playtime is at the school because they are unable to go out and play with friends in the evenings and at weekends."
The go-karts are both painted red and blue.
When go-karts were stolen from the school before they were found in a nearby park.
