This picture brought memories flooding back for two sisters who were waiting for a glimpse of the Queen during a visit in 1979.
Twenty-three years ago, sisters Katie and Lucy Tester were excited youngsters, waiting for Her Majesty to arrive.
The women, now in their 20s, and their mothers, were amazed to see the photograph printed in The Argus in the run-up to the Golden Jubilee celebrations.
Readers were asked to help find the young royal fans from the picture taken in 1979.
The girls' eagle-eyed grandmother, Mrs Janette Tester, recognised them straight away.
Mrs Tester, of Fieldway, Lindfield, said: "I spotted them immediately.
"The photograph is well-known in our family. It's in an album."
Katie, 28, a business travel consultant, has a few sketchy memories of the day.
She said: "I remember going to see the Queen with my Mum and our friend Victoria Bennett, her sister Natasha and her Mum Maureen.
"I remember the flags and the cheering and being photographed. But one thing I don't remember is seeing the Queen."
The sisters, who now live near Whitstable, Kent, are still in touch with Victoria, who is a British Airways stewardess.
Katie and her partner Kevin Smith have one daughter, Ella, two.
Lucy, 27, is married to Stacey Clark and is a full-time mum to Ashleigh, four, and Bobby, two.
Lucy said: "Our mum Sue and Maureen are best mates so Victoria and Tasha are like cousins to us. We're all in the photograph so it has been a great keepsake for us."
