A woman who drowned close to her home has been identified.
The body of 40-year-old Julie Cavaliere, of Lakelands Close, Eastbourne, was discovered floating in the pond at Dallington Road, Eastbourne, on Sunday by a member of the public.
Her flat in Lakeside Court is just metres away.
Police inquiries were continuing today as police tried to piece together Mrs Cavaliere's last movements.
Detective Chief Inspector Martyn Underhill said: "We believe Julie died between 11am and 4pm on Friday and appeal to the public for help in answering this unexplained death.
"Clearly her body did not just appear in this drainage pond beyond dense thickets and trees in Dallington Road.
"We need to build up a clear picture of her last movements."
Police said her close family were devastated at their loss.
Mr Underhill said: "The coverage this case has attracted enabled several people to call in with information.
"This has been vital to the investigation and I would hope we can jog a few more memories."
A 48-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the death has been released without charge.
Mrs Cavaliere was believed to have been in the pond since Friday afternoon.
Anyone who saw her before then should contact police on 0845 6070999.
