Former hotel receptionist Claire-Jane Williams just can't get Kylie Minogue out of her head and with good reason.

Her resemblance to the singing star is starting to transform her life after she was signed up by one of the UK's top lookalike agencies.

Instead of taking home £100 a week she now commands about £350 an hour making personal appearances in the type of costumes that have made Kylie one of the most sought-after women in the music industry.

Claire-Jane, who at 22 is 12 years younger than Kylie, sent off her photograph to an agency after people kept telling her how much she looked like the Australian singer.

Now she regularly finds a babysitter for her two-year-old daughter Daisy-Jane so she can dress up as Kylie at a range of events.

Claire-Jane, from Felpham, near Bognor, said: "The strangest job I have done as Kylie was for a company selling computer equipment. The company wanted to motivate its sales team.

"They were sitting at desks in pinstriped suits and I was in my catsuit, which was slashed to the navel, writhing and singing to Can't Get You Out Of My Head. It was a bit embarrassing but they loved it."

Claire-Jane was also the perfect choice when a Kylie body double was needed for a photoshoot to help promote a range of lingerie.

At just under 5ft and a size six she shares the singer's tiny frame.

She said: "The Kylie thing really took off big time in February so it has not really changed my life yet but I have paid off some bills and hope it will make things easier.

"It is all a bit crazy but the money is great and it can vary from £350 an hour to £600 for a day's work."

Claire-Jane says she first watched Kylie when she starred in the Australian TV soap Neighbours.

A former pupil at Littlehampton Community College, she worked at the Royal Norfolk Hotel on Bognor seafront before her new career.

Claire-Jane said: "When I go out blokes just tend to point out the likeness to Kylie. I don't get chatted up. It is more stares really."

One thing Claire-Jane does not have in common with Kylie is having to pay huge sums of money for the sexy outfits the singer is famous for.

She said: "I have been really lucky because I have found a dressmaker who makes my costumes and I paid just £90 for the white outfit Kylie wore when she appeared at the Brit Awards."

Claire-Jane, who has not met Kylie, never mimes to records when she appears at events such as tribute shows and is even hoping to land a recording contract in her own right.

As for daughter Daisy-Jane, she said: "Whenever Kylie is on the TV she always says it's Mummy because I am always practising her routines."

Supporting Claire-Jane in her work is her partner of eight years Paul Lawrence, 28, who works in technical drawing.

Claire-Jane is on the books of the Susan Scott Look A Like agency.
