A painting of Brighton seafront by a renowned British artist is being auctioned.
Brighton In April by Clifford Hall is expected to fetch between £800 and £1,200 when sold by Sotheby's at Olympia in London.
The work, which depicts the Palace Pier, has previously been exhibited in the Anthony d'Offay Gallery in London.
Specialist Freya Mitton said Hall lived from 1904 to 1973 and the painting was an early work but could not be dated precisely.
She said: "Hall lived and worked in London. I have seen some of his paintings of Brighton before but this is a very nice work because it is of a very well-known part of Brighton."
Brighton In April is included in the sale of the Croft Collection of modern British and continental paintings and prints on July 4.
