My daughter, a student at Sussex University, took my car to travel back home at end of term with all her worldly goods.

In the early hours of Saturday, June 15, someone stole it from the Falmer car park.

It's old - K reg - but is a really nice red Astra convertible with a black roof.

It's a lifeline to us. The police haven't found it and I appeal to anyone in Brighton and Hove to look around for it - it could be parked locally.

Please, if you see it, tell the police so we can have it back. We can't possibly get its true value to us from the insurance company.

I'm not asking for details of who stole it.
