Robert Martin, who lives in Guildford, asks us to go to the proposed Falmer stadium site (Letters, June 26).
Well, I live in Falmer and I suggest he looks at South Downs National Park map 33.
He will see the only land outside the park is an eight-acre field and two universities.
The development will not only spread into the national park at Falmer, it will also need a road through Stanmer woods, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty within the national park.
Supporters of the stadium claim the woods need refurbishing and a road through them is just the kind they need.
As for the Nimby taunt, Nimbys are the people best placed to protect the countryside around them. They know the wildlife and the landscape.
