Hundreds of primary school children in Sussex will see their sports and arts facilities transformed following an award of more than £3 million.
Youngsters in Brighton and Hove will receive £1.25 million and children in East Sussex will benefit from £2.2 million.
It is part of Space for Sport and Arts, a programme that will give funds to nearly 300 primary schools in the UK to modernise or build multi-use halls for a range of sports on one site, all-weather pitches and new music and arts studios.
Space for Sport and Arts is a partnership between the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the New Opportunities Fund, Sport England and the Arts Council of England.
