It is reassuring to read the responsible members of the gay community condemning the sexual activity which is taking place 24 hours a day, seven days a week on Duke's Mound, Brighton.
Not only have gays suffered homophobic attacks but, also, many local families consider it a no-go area.
The police need to protect everyone equally but have they been turning a blind eye to this public park? If so, why?
One might have thought that with so many bars, clubs, saunas and so on available for gay men that sexual activity on Duke's Mound would have declined. Not so.
Why have the tolerant people of Brighton and Hove been taken advantage of? Thank you, Johnny Lord, for raising this delicate matter.
