The family of Scott Cosgrove, who died of a suspected heroin overdose, has had enough to put up with in the past three weeks.
Coming to terms with the death of a loved one is a terrible experience for anyone but Mr Cosgrove's relatives are having to suffer the extra burden of not being able to say goodbye at his funeral.
Red-tape is causing such a delay that the necessary paperwork has not been filed and already one funeral has been cancelled.
More than 100 people are now expected to attend a service on Friday to say a dignified farewell.
Let us hope the feelings of these people are in the minds of those who must file the documentation in time.
