A Sussex software firm has won a major contract from one of the big four High Street banks.

Dosh Software, based in Horsham, said the deal was for a number of its small business-orientated products which would be added to the range of products Lloyds TSB offers to its customers.

Dosh managing director Matt van der Borgh said: "The bank's research identified that running a business meant managers often had to have a wide range of skills but recognised they could not be an expert in them all.

"To help fill any gaps in those skills, we have developed many new innovative solutions, as well as our traditional offerings of financial products and services."

Lloyds TSB's business managers will be offering Dosh software programmes to customers looking for tools to help them with bookkeeping, payroll, cash-flow forecasting, invoicing and contact management.

The programmes will be available to customers at a preferential rate.

Mr van der Borgh said:

"Our involvement with the Lloyds TSB RouteMap and the success4business web site is highly significant landmark in our company's history.

"Lloyds TSB's new strategies will set the standard for business banking in the UK.

Its strategy is radically different to anything else on offer to small businesses and it is very exciting to be so closely involved with it."

Dosh's best-selling programme, DO$H Cashbook, was released in 1997 and was recognised by Lloyds TSB, which was looking for simple-to-use bookkeeping.

The programme is now used by almost 100,000 of its customers.
