I was delighted to learn that the finishing touches are due to be applied to the Dome Concert Hall during the summer.
It is a splendid building already and I am sure the remaining work will further enhance its stature.
I have attended many orchestral concerts already since its reopening in February and can testify to the effectiveness of the many improvements.
Mr Dodds draws attention to the many concerts following the re-opening in September.
Included in these, the Brighton and Hove Philharmonic Society will be staging no less than 12, including the ever-popular Viennese New Year's Eve programme, which regularly attracts a vast audience.
At last, the splendid Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra, under music director Barry Wordsworth, will have a worthy setting to display its virtuosity and wide repertoire. I cannot wait for the season to begin.
