The jury in the trial of property magnate Nicholas van Hoogstraten - accused of murdering a business associate - was today continuing its deliberations.
The jury retired yesterday to consider its verdicts against Hoogstraten and two other men.
Mr Justice Newman told them it was most important that they did not discuss the case with anyone.
A charge of conspiracy to murder against Hoogstraten was dropped on Wednesday.
The jurors now only have to consider a single charge alleging that multi-millionaire Hoogstraten murdered retired businessman Mohammed Raja.
Mr Raja was stabbed and shot at point-blank range at his home in Sutton, Surrey, on July 2 1999.
The prosecution alleges that Hoogstraten hired two hitmen - Robert Knapp and David Croke - to murder him after he fell out with Mr Raja over a number of property deals.
The prosecution alleges that Hoogstraten was not present when the offence was committed by Knapp and Croke but that he was nevertheless guilty of murder because he counselled, advised, ordered, encouraged or persuaded Knapp to do it.
Hoogstraten, 57, of High Cross, Framfield, near Uckfield; Croke, 59, of Bolney Road, East Moulsecoomb, Brighton; and Knapp, 55, of Abbeyfeale, Co Limerick, all deny murder.
