Cinemas in Brighton have pulled a controversial advertisement featuring comedian Rik Mayall dressed as Hitler.
The 90-second promo has been produced by campaigners against the euro.
It features Mayall dressed as the Nazi leader addressing a crowd with the slogan: "Ein Volk! Ein Reich! Ein Euro!"
Hove MP Ivor Caplin wrote to local cinemas asking for the advert not to be shown because of its offensive nature.
The UGC Cinema at Brighton Marina said: "UGC Cinemas use a strict policy and guidelines in deciding which adverts to play.
"This advert does not fit in with these guidelines and we will not be showing it due to both its political and offensive nature."
The Duke Of York's Cinema has also barred it.
Mr Caplin said: "I am glad our cinemas have shown real common sense in refusing to accept this advert for screening.
"The anti-euro campaign has trivialised not only a great tragedy in European history but also debate about the future of Europe."
