What a surprise - Ken Bodfish pronounces the chaos on Saturday night a success.
Mind you, only one person died and one other is critically ill in hospital. For something that was on the brink of turning from a total mess to a real disaster, was pretty horrible for people living in central Brighton and, as far as I could see, caused untold problems for many businesses, "a success" is not what springs to mind.
From what I saw, the events of the weekend were as far from "culture" as I can imagine.
How come Essential cannot have a comparatively well-organised and musically varied three-day event in Brighton but Brighton and Hove City Council gave the go-ahead for Saturday? Politics.
