There is no doubt the event will boost our European Capital of Culture bid.

Issues have arisen out of Saturday night's event so obviously we have to have a full report into everything that comes out of it and think about them for future events.

I have been going around the city, to The Pavilion, The Dome and the museum, and you can see that these sort of places are not touched by what was a major event.

Of course people leave rubbish but the staff are doing a great job to clear it.

The event showed there were gaps in the transport system and we need to fill these.

But we must not just judge the whole bid on one event. How many other wonderful things are going on all-year round?

We are known for our outdoor events.
