Big Beach Boutique II was an enormous success. Two hundred thousand youngsters attended and only six arrests were made.
Credit is due to those who came, many from other parts of the country.
However, an equally enormous amount of rubbish has also been cleared, the cost of which should be the responsibility of the organisers (who gained considerable amount of free publicity from the event).
Is this the case? If not, why not? Do we council taxpayers bear the cost? If so, how much?
I look forward to the organisers and a representative of Brighton and Hove City Council being able to allay what might be my unfounded fears.
