Kind-hearted readers have pledged to replace charity money stolen while a fund-raiser suffered an epileptic fit.
Readers have written and telephoned us to find out how they can replace the £30 stolen from Michael Owen, 55, when he was collecting for local charities at Littlehampton Carnival on Saturday.
More than £100 has been offered after we published details of thieves stealing Mr Owen's charity bucket while he suffered convulsions.
Mr Owen, from Wick in Littlehampton, vowed to carry on collecting at charity events, and even said he would replace the money from his own pocket.
He said of our readers; offers: "I'm very grateful. It's so nice of people and I think The Argus did a good job with the article."
